School based mental health can be an affordable, effective and productive way to provide mental health services to children with social, emotional and behavioral problems. School-based mental health providers are in a unique position to work closely with schools to develop and implement collaborative plans to support children’s mental health in the classroom. In this webinar, school based mental health clinicians are provided tools for conducting classroom observations of children to inform the development of treatment plans that can be implemented collaboratively with teachers. Other topics discussed on this webinar include: (a) consulting with teachers on broader classroom practices that enhance emotional climate, behavior management, and rules and routines, and (b) strategies for effectively billing third party insurance.
