Healing-Centered Schools: Integrating Trauma-Informed and Resilience Building Approaches as Students Return to School

CTAC is proud to offer a six-part video series on trauma-informed and resilience building approaches to implement in your planning for the return back to school this Fall. This series is intended for school-based mental health providers and staff, but can be used as a resource to share with all school personnel interested in learning about collective healing, trauma-informed care, and resilience in school settings. The series uses a three-tiered framework for supporting healing-centered practices and offers practical Tier 1, or Universal Tier, approaches that can be implemented by school-based mental health providers to promote safety, self-regulatory skills, and connections among students in the school environment.

The series is broken down into short segments ranging in length from 5-25 minutes for your viewing convenience. Whether you would like a comprehensive overview of the trauma and chronic stress response or would like to learn new tips to help students as they re-enter a school building, these videos will be of help to you! This page includes links to presentations, slide decks, and many additional resources.
