STAR: Strengthening Trauma Awareness and Resilience

The STAR Training was developed to support those in the helping profession move from trauma awareness to trauma responsiveness. It includes a useful set of tools to increase your ability to deliver trauma responsive care. The goals of these tools is to help you obtain information about trauma and adversity; use that information to deepen your working relationships; and guide people in their journey to healing, recovery and building resilience.

The components of the STAR Training include:

  1. Online learning modules to promote awareness building and information about Trauma Informed Care
  2. “In-person” Practice sessions (via Zoom) to promote skills development
  3. A practice guide with specific step-by-step tools you can use flexibly (not a manual)
  4. An evaluation piece to help us edit the guide as needed based on your feedback.

This webpage contains materials you will need to fully participate in the training as you work to strengthen the amazing work you are already doing! Select the hyperlinks below to access the information.
