Self-Stigma Resource Guide

This guide was developed to help mental health providers identify and address self-stigma among participants in care. Research suggests that low self-esteem and self-efficacy associated with mental health stigma is linked to poorer treatment outcomes among people with mental health conditions. There are things you can do as part of the behavioral health community to address and minimize the impact of mental health stigma and self-stigma in your work with the people you serve.
